SiTAPE´s debut in the European BCO Network video series

BCO Network

Floating Particle was invited to create a video with the European BCO Network. On this occasion, we share everything you have to know about the BCO and how it is connected to us.

So what is the European BCO Network actually doing?

The European Broadband Competence Offices Network’s program´s aim is to raise awareness of good practices in broadband projects as well as EU broadband funding and policy.

The European BCO Network brings together EU Member States’ national and regional public authorities in charge of broadband deployment to exchange knowledge and good practices with peers, experts, and European Commission representatives. This way they can build their capacity to bring reliable, high-speed broadband connectivity to all EU citizens.

The BCO Network’s knowledge exchange and capacity-building program includes events, publications and video interviews dedicated to increasing the capacity of European BCOs to bring broadband connectivity to all citizens, with an emphasis on bridging the digital gap between urban and rural areas and reaching the Gigabit Society objectives. How the BCO Network is connected to us?

SiTAPE is a smart and integrated solution that allows the reduction of water losses from the water grid while simultaneously producing clean hydroelectric energy as a by-product. The system uses supercomputers and IoT in order to help the water-grid manager to make efficient, real-time data-driven decisions. The solution was created by Floating Particle in Madeira, but it can be applied in every city. High-speed broadband is essential in order to make use of tools like SiTAPE, as it supports the fast exchange of the huge amount of data produced.

What is the outcome?

Watch the video and learn about our SiTAPE Smart Water Grid system, and why broadband internet network is crucial for it!
